I Kings 17:1 NKJV

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

I Kings 17:1 NKJV

Elijah declared that there would be no dew nor rain except at his word. Elijah believed in the call of God over his life as a prophet

to the extent that his word will come to pass and it did.

The anointing that Elijah carried has the power to affect the atmosphere. Even in the old covenant, trusting in God's call produces such power on this earth.

Today, someone greater than Elijah is here. Through the death and resurrection of Christ, God has made every born-again child more powerful than Elijah.

Now we have become one in Christ, filled with God's own Spirit so that we can walk as Christ walked on this earth.

Our words carry such power to change situations, circumstances and even change the atmosphere around us.

Elijah believed in the One who had anointed him.

Do we believe in the One who has chosen us?

Do we trust our words to establish all that is before us according to God's purpose?

God wants us to grow into maturity, to harness our tongue to speak His truth and set our minds as those who have been anointed.

We need to continue to develop all that Christ has put into our lives so that every word we speak begins to shape our world as God has predestined us before the foundation of the world.

Let us cultivate all that Jesus has given to us and speak the promises of God boldly.

Blessings
