Jonah 2:9 NKJV
But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.”
Jonah 2:9 NKJV
Jonah finally realised that it is not for him to pass judgement on people, no matter how bad they may have been, for God is a merciful God and His plans of salvation are available to all, even to the last minute.
Jonah offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord. When we see from God's perspective, our hatred will change to thanksgiving.
That makes it of absolute importance to seek God and see things from His perspective.
For many have done so much wrong by judging those who walk with the Lord.
Paul himself did get caught up in the same attitude of judgment before he had an encounter with Jesus.
No one took our place of punishment, only one who died for us, and that is Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Therefore, no one is worthy to judge who can be saved except the ONE who died for all, Jesus Christ.
We are to be gracious, pointing all humanity to Christ and that they can be saved no matter what they have done.
Our flesh may stand in the way and may disagree but the love of Jesus will reach all mankind just as He has saved us from all our guilt and condemnation.
Let our hearts and our lips glorify God at all times. May our praise be lifted as we keep serving one another with the same love Christ has established for us.
Blessings,
Ps Ambrose
