Zephaniah 3:5 NKJV
The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame.
Zephaniah 3:5 NKJV
God is a righteous God.
He is the measure of the righteous and the judge for it. God cannot violate His nature. He judges according to His righteousness.
Therefore, God cannot write right what is wrong even though He is God. God cannot close one eye to the mistakes. Neither can He pardon anyone without paying the penalty for their sins.
Therefore, when the Bible talks about God's judgment on people, it does not mean God has lost His patience, lost His love or lost His sanity.
It just means that He is righteous and anyone who has chosen to live in disobedience and sin will have to face their consequences.
All God is doing is being who He is. No one blames the judge who sentences the murderer to life imprisonment for murder. No one says the judge just wanted to punish the murderer. The judge just followed the law.
Many bad things have taken place, and none of them is because God deliberately wanted it to happen.
If God looked to punish mankind, He would have punished Adam and Eve, who are the reason all mankind suffers under the influence of satan.
Yet God clothed them with animal skins temporarily and promised that He would save mankind.
God Himself paid for our sins through Christ our Lord and Saviour.
We need to have the right view of our God so that our worship and adoration will change from fear to love.
His grace and His mercy are the one that prolongs time so that many more can be saved.
God paid what was wrong and legally made it right for us through Christ so that we can enter boldly into His throne and fellowship with our righteous God.
Blessings,
