I Corinthians 1:21 NKJV

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

I Corinthians 1:21 NKJV

Paul, who once lived by the carnal wisdom, studied the scriptures under one of the greatest teachers of his time, declares that it all accounts for nothing compared to the knowledge the Holy Spirit of God reveals.

The wisdom of the world is all based on natural things, but the wisdom of God surpasses all natural understanding because it is supernatural.

God's word is spirit and they are life. God's word is God's wisdom to all mankind when it is revealed to us by His Spirit.

We cannot fully understand the things of God unless we see them through His eyes and His heart. God, the Holy Spirit, teaches us all truth and reveals to us all things pertaining to life and godliness.

When truth is preached, it may seem like foolishness because it has nothing to do with the work of man to be justified. Truth is meant to just believe in the finished work of Christ.

It leaves no room for self-exaltation, no room to boast in our work because it is all by the grace of God. Unmerited favour cannot be earned or attained; it is given freely.

This is the kingdom of God that God loved us and established us in Him so that we can start to live in Him all the days of our lives.

We walk in the freedom, in the power, and in the love of Jesus Christ. We live out the victory Christ has won for each one of us.

The call to all believers is to execute the life of Christ every day as He executed whatever the Father did.

Let us not be ashamed, not be shaken, nor be dismayed, but keep preaching Christ and Him crucified. In this, we are sharing His goodness throughout the world.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
