Exodus 3:4 NKJV
So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
Exodus 3:4 NKJV
Moses turned from what he was doing and went towards the burning bush, for he wanted to see and know why this bush was burning.
The burning bush was God trying to get Moses' attention, who was so caught up with his routine of life, so that God may restore him back to his call.
There are many things that can cause us to lose focus on the call of God over our lives. For Moses it was the fear of his past failures, attempting to do thing his way with his own strength and running away from problems.
We too can get caught up with what we know to be true but not the absolute of who our God really is. Many are still running away from the call of God because they failed once, or was persecuted or fearful of what people may say.
We need to stop and turn our attention to the Holy Spirit of God that is living inside of us. He is always burning to get our attention daily so that we can walk in God's perfect plan.
When we stop to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to us, then we can fulfill the things God has prepared for us.
Moses tried by his might but failed. Yet he succeeded by resting in the Almighty power of God.
God wants us to minister, to serve, to love out of our resting place which is Jesus Christ. Resting in His finished work and working everything that we have received through Christ will cause us to fulfill His plans.
Let us keep turning our attention to Jesus Christ and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us daily.
Blessings,
