James 1:20, NKVJ

For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God."

James 1:20, NKVJ

James emphasizes that human anger or wrath, when driven by selfishness, desire for control, or pride, does not produce the righteousness of God.

However, anger can also be a gift from God, as the Bible instructs us to "be angry and sin not" (Ephesians 4:26).

Righteous anger, which arises from a desire to stand against evil and uphold God's standards, is essential for living a life that honours God.

Without anger, we might tolerate sin and allow the enemy's influence to prevail in our lives. Righteous anger helps us stand firm against the garbage of the world and guard our hearts.

In contrast, anger motivated by selfishness or frustration cannot manifest the righteousness of God.

Therefore, we must address situations with a restoration mindset, seeking to build and protect what God has entrusted to us, rather than reacting out of frustration or rage.

Let us work towards manifesting the righteousness of God and produce the goodness of God that leads to repentance.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
