Ezekiel‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God spoke to Ezekiel the prophet in the midst of a generation that walked away from God and His ways.

God prepared Ezekiel to be the messenger to the world by telling him to eat the scroll of the written lamentations, mourning and woe.

This is the message under the old covenant to bring correction and judgment to the people.

God wanted the message to become part of Ezekiel’s lifestyle. God wanted Ezekiel to eat it and become like it so that his words, his actions and his life will display it as an epistle to the world.

Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Jesus is the word that proceeded from the mouth of God to us in the new covenant.

We need to eat of Jesus's word till we transform our mind, our actions and decisions to be like Christ.

Jesus was not talking about eating as a symbol but eating His word which is His flesh according to John 1:14 as a lifestyle.

The word of God is our spiritual food that brings out, enhance and cause us to grow into what Jesus has planted in each one of us through His death and resurrection.

If we keep eating God’s word and digesting it into our mind and heart, expressing it into our actions and in every area of our lives then we will be an epistle of God’s word to the world.

God’s word is alive, active and is a powerful sword. When we eat of it, we will flow in the life of God that activates through His Spirit and cut off the works of the enemy.

Let us continue to eat God’s word, for the Lord is preparing us all to be His message to the world.

Blessings
